The City of Calgary’s new Procurement Policy is effective May 1, 2021.
In support, all employees, consultants, and contractors must attend procurement policy training if their role involves procurement, whether it be purchasing small dollar goods, procuring the services to deliver large capital projects, or participating on a procurement evaluation team, to name a few.
Procurement at The City is an exciting and rewarding responsibility. As public servants, we are entrusted with achieving best value for taxpayers’ dollars, while ensuring we do so in accordance with external and internal governance requirements (e.g., applicable trade agreements, laws, legislation and regulations, City polices, etc.). This training helps to uphold the integrity of The City’s procurement and maintain the trust of Calgarians when spending taxpayers’ dollars.
Procurement policy training consists of the following modules:
- Module 1: The FACTOE Principles
- Module 2: Procurement Practices and Under Threshold Procurement
- Module 3: Procurement Governance Framework and Under Threshold Procurement
