On November 24, the provincial government announced new public health measures to respond to the rising spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health of Albertans. Due to these measures, Calgary AfterSchool will be adjusting some of its programming. Please check back often for up-to-date information.
Calgary Recreation AfterSchool will close to in person programming until the new year. Instead we will offer weekly Program Kits. The kits will include take home activities including physical activity, creative activity, cooking and a challenge. Participants are asked to pick up the kits in person and log there challenge score.
The program kits are available for pick up on Wednesdays December 2, 9 and 16 from 3pm -5pm at the following locations:
- Beltline Aquatic Centre – outdoors (front courtyard)
- Bob Bahan Aquatic Centre – outdoors (Forest Lawn Activity Centre)
- Devonian Gardens – indoors
- Optimist Arena – outdoors

Calgary AfterSchool is invested in the future of every young person. We offer fun, safe, free or low-cost after school programs for a diverse group of children and youth. We have hundreds of programs that focus on sports, arts, healthy living and leadership development. Our unique programming is designed to help children and youth do better in school, stay productive, learn new skills and make new friends.
Programs typically will not run when there is no school: including statutory holidays, professional development days, and winter and spring breaks. Please check with the program provider directly if you have questions about the program schedule.
