The Calgary Fire Department Pipes and Drums is a volunteer group of professional firefighters who perform at special events including The Fire Training Academy graduation ceremonies, funerals, parades and other firefighter-related activities.

The 15 pipers and drummers wear the official Calgary tartan when they appear at charity events, memorial services and ceremonies marking the passing of firefighters in the line of duty.

The bagpipes have a long and proud history within the fire service in general and specifically within the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) dating back to the early 20th century. In 2000, the Calgary Firefighters Piping Society was formed to promote the playing of bagpipes and standardizing the dress and conduct of CFD pipers. The Calgary Fire Department Pipes & Drums name was officially adopted in 2005.
