Village Square Leisure Centre is a multi-purpose facility with an indoor water park, wave pool, and waterslides. It also has ice rinks, weight room, jungle gym, gymnasium and is home to a wide variety of activities, classes, and services. 

 

Last Ride Down the Thunder Slide

Join us on Sunday, August 30 from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. or from 2:30 - 6 p.m. for one last ride down the Thunder Slide. We’re throwing it back to 1994 with retro admission pricing, a DJ, décor and more.

The pool and weight rooms can be used without an appointment. Group fitness requires an appointment. Pools are not available for public swimming during swimming lessons.

During the temporary closure, swimming lessons, fitness classes, martial arts and sports will be offered at nearby locations.

    Most of our facility, including the pool, gymnasium and fitness centre, will be closed for repairs beginning Aug. 31, 2026.

    Many Village Square recreation programs will continue at nearby locations, helping you stay active and connected during the temporary closure.

    The Village Square Health Centre offers a wide range of health services.

  • Calgary Public Library

    ​The Village Square Public library has computers, meeting rooms, study rooms, and children's space. ​​

  • Fair Entry desk

    Apply for Fair Entry and Recreation Fee Assistance. Fair entry desk is located within the library.

  • Centre for Newcomers

    Closed during construction

    A resource centre for Calgary’s newcomers and refugees to receive settlement and integration services as well as information.

  • Low Income Transit Pass kiosk

    Low Income Transit Passes available for purchase for Fair Entry customers.

  • Village Square Community Hub

    Temporarily relocated during construction

    Community Hubs are welcoming and inclusive spaces for community connections, capacity building opportunities and accessing community services and supports.
