We engage with community associations and social recreation groups to help make neighbourhoods a great place to live, work, and play. Neighbourhood Partnership Coordinators support these organizations in the areas of:

Organizational Development

  • Support the development of sound board governance practices
  • Support and facilitate strategic/business plan development that responds to residents’/members’ needs
  • Support and facilitate operational (including financial, communications and programing) policy and procedure development

Financial Management

  • Support and facilitate development of financial best practices
  • Review and consult on annual financial statements and mitigation strategies, as required
  • Support and consult on grant and funding resources

License of Occupation (LOC)/ Lease

  • Initiating and/or exiting a LOC/lease
  • Guidance on responsible land stewardship
  • Administration of LOC/lease

Connecting City Resources

  • Connecting CAs/SRGs to appropriate City business units to address needs
  • Share relevant City information

Engagement

  • Support and facilitate the identification of engagement needs
  • Support CAs to connect with residents
  • Support organizations to build a vision that fosters a sense of community

Programs and Services

  • Supporting to align programs and services to their strategic and/or business plan
  • Providing guidance, consultation and support in the provision of programs and services

Facility Maintenance & Capital Construction

  • Consult and support organization for capital construction projects, policy and processes
  • Consult and support organization with the lifecycle and safety management pertaining to facilities and amenities
