Group nature programs for adults and seniors
We offer a variety of nature programs designed for adult and seniors groups.
Guided Nature Walks (all ages)
Explore one of Calgary's amazing parks or greenspaces! An environmental educator will guide you through your favourite natural area in the season of your choice - you pick the date and location. We will work with you to customize the program based on your group's needs and interests. Activities will include historical fun facts and plant and wildlife identification.
Length: 1 hour
Location: Any City of Calgary park or green space
Cost: $102, maximum 30 participants
Tree Workshops
The recorded Pruning Basics and Pests & Disease tree workshops are approximately 1.5 hours in length and feature a live Q&A session at the end with a City of Calgary Urban Forestry Technician to offer advice and answer any tree related questions or concerns. Have you ever gone for a walk in your community or local park and wondered what kind of trees you are walking by? Have you wondered if the trees you see are ones you could plant in your own yard?
Join Calgary Parks for a tree walk and learn how to identify trees in your community and what ones would make great additions to your own yard. An Urban Forestry Technician will be joining to answer any questions you may have.
