The City of Calgary's Asphalt Plant produces and supplies gravel and asphalt for use in the construction and maintenance of roadwork, paving and utility repairs. The plant is capable of producing up to 240 tonnes per hour of various mixes for paving work. It is open 12 months of the year, seven days a week, and is the only source of hot mix asphalt in Calgary during the winter months. Products are primarily provided to City crews, but due to its centralized location, its products are also available to private contractors.

The plant will not run when temperatures reach -20 degrees or below. The asphalt plant will be closed on all statutory holidays unless prior arrangements are made. A premium may be charged for under 500 t orders.
