Recreation Facilities

We have 12 arenas with 19 indoor rinks and we offer ice time for hockey, ringette, broomball and figure skating.

Our arts centres offer programs for all ages and skill levels in a variety of mediums including ceramics, visual arts, and performing arts.

There are 13 athletic parks in Calgary where you can participate sports like soccer, softball, field hockey, rugby, baseball, slo pitch, track and field, or football and our facilities can be booked for competitions and tournaments.

Our facility accommodates a variety of indoor and outdoor sports like soccer, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, lawn bowling, bocce ball, rugby, and flag football.

Located on Glenmore Reservoir our sailing school is a member of the Alberta Sailing Association. We also offer boat rentals and stall rentals from the May long weekend through to the Monday of Thanksgiving weekend.

We have seven municipal golf courses at five locations throughout the city. Whether you are a beginner or experienced player, we have a course to suit your ability.

We have a number of indoor facilities throughout Calgary where you can swim, play, and stay active. There are also wading pools, splash parks, and outdoor pools that you can enjoy.

Our city has several permanent skateparks to encourage active, healthy and creative living. We offer skateboarding lessons and camps and our parks host competitions throughout the summer.
