  3. Mad
  4. Scared
  5. Love
  6. Surprised

Rhyme Time

Time: 10 – 15 minutes

Supplies: Ball (or something that is easy to throw and catch – even a stuffed animal could work!)

Find a space in your home our outside where it is safe to pass or roll a ball back and forth.

  • Choose a word to start with that is easy to rhyme (go, ball, bat, sit, can, tap, bed, pen, pet, lick, chin, sing, bite, etc.).
  • Pass the ball back and forth with your child and, each time you catch the ball, think of a new word that rhymes.
  • The goal is to think of as many rhyming words as possible before moving on to the next rhyming words.
