Council direction

Council is driven to make Calgary a desirable place to live, visit, and do business. A healthy arts and culture sector supports travel and tourism and contributes to the economy and jobs. Continued support of festivals and events give Calgarians places to be creative. Creation of public spaces for Calgarians of all ages and abilities during all seasons helps the pursuit of active and creative lifestyles. Honouring Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is achieved through integrating Indigenous culture into arts and culture activities.
