When you join our Human Resources (HR) team, you will help support employees and leaders across The City, build strong partnerships, and help to shape a positive and thriving workplace culture.
Our HR team includes professionals with a wide range of expertise. We design and deliver programs that help people succeed and create a workplace that is safe, fair, and inclusive. This allows employees to focus on the work that makes life better for Calgarians every day.

What you’ll do here
HR supports employees throughout their career — from hiring through training, career growth, and retirement.
Depending on your role, your work may include:
- Designing and delivering HR strategies and programs that support employees and leaders across the organization as they provide services to Calgarians.
- Working with business leaders to build people-centered solutions that support service delivery and business priorities.
- Consulting with internal and external partners to identify learning needs and develop training. You may also review training to continuously improve it.
- Developing and delivering recruitment plans to attract talent to The City. You may support leaders through the hiring process.
