What you’ll do here

  • Designing and delivering HR strategies and programs that support employees and leaders across the organization as they provide services to Calgarians.
  • Working with business leaders to build people-centered solutions that support service delivery and business priorities.
  • Consulting with internal and external partners to identify learning needs and develop training. You may also review training to continuously improve it.
  • Developing and delivering recruitment plans to attract talent to The City. You may support leaders through the hiring process.
  • Leading projects or hosting events where employees learn from each other and feel a strong sense of belonging.
  • Providing advice on strategic and complex labour relations matters, conducting research and providing support during collective bargaining and other activities with diverse bargaining units.
  • Supporting pay and compensation work for a client group. This includes analysis and job evaluations for new and existing roles.
  • Preparing and processing documentation required for payroll administration on a bi-weekly and year-end basis.
  • Impartially investigating serious workplace incidents using trauma-informed, employee-focused approach investigative practices.
