As part of the Supply Management team, you’re helping The City of Calgary make thousands of purchases each year to deliver the services Calgarians depend on every day. We buy everything from basketballs, CTrains, IT, consulting and construction services. Your work contributes to how Calgarians live, work and play in our city.

What you’ll do here

We look after The City’s supply chain and use public funds to keep our City services running. Our supply chain team members:

  • Help The City follow trade agreements while doing open, fair and transparent procurements.
  • Work with all City departments to understand their needs and procure the goods, services and construction they need to deliver their services to Calgarians.
  • Coach City staff on procurement policies, practices and processes, ensuring The City is compliant to trade agreements, laws and policies.
  • Develop sourcing and contract management strategies to get the best value for public funds.
  • Manage procurements throughout the contract lifecycle from procurement planning to the end of a contract.
  • Lead contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with different industries and suppliers of all sizes, in Calgary and abroad.

You’ll have a pivotal role in delivering the services and infrastructure to Calgarians. You’ll use The City’s purchasing power to add economic value and benefits to our community.
