What you’ll do here

In trades, your work shapes the city. Whether you're repairing, building, or maintaining, you’ll be part of a team that keeps Calgary strong and moving forward. Our trades professionals:

  • Install, maintain, and repair the electrical systems that power city facilities, infrastructure, and public services.
  • Fabricate and weld components that support everything from fleet vehicles to structural repairs — ensuring durability, safety, and precision.
  • Service and maintain The City’s fleet of vehicles and equipment, keeping emergency services, transit, and operations running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to real-time challenges, applying technical expertise to solve problems that impact daily life for Calgarians.
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, heating, and gas systems that support water flow, HVAC, and safe energy use across city facilities and infrastructure.
