2026 Mobility Programs: Upcoming Changes to Ward 2 Roadways
Ward 2 is set for a busy construction and improvement season in 2026, with mobility projects focused on safer streets, better accessibility, and more reliable travel for residents. City of Calgary Mobility has shared a list of planned, underway, and completed work across the ward, including traffic signals, crosswalk improvements, pathway installation, traffic calming, pavement rehabilitation, and concrete repairs.
One of the most visible upgrades includes new traffic signals and RRFBs at several Ward 2 locations, along with a new regional pathway connection at 243 Hawkcliffe Way NW. Other projects highlighted in the materials include curb extensions, sidewalk safety repairs, pavement rehabilitation, and concrete maintenance in neighbourhoods such as Arbour Lake, Citadel, Evanston, Hamptons, Hawkwood, Nolan Hill, Ranchlands, Sage Hill, and Sherwood.
These investments are meant to improve safety, environmental performance, and accessibility while helping residents plan for temporary construction impacts. The City notes that all 2026 planned mobility programs for Ward 2 are available online, and an end-of-year update will summarize what was completed across the ward and citywide.
