Community Hub

Ward 2 is made up of twelve communities in north-west Calgary: Arbour Lake, Citadel, Hawkwood, Hamptons, Ranchlands, Evanston, Nolan Hill, Sherwood, Sage Hill, Kincora, Glacier Ridge, and Ambleton.

Visit the Community Association pages below and be sure to check out their monthly community newsletters.

September was a very busy month in the community. I had the pleasure of connecting with Ward 2 residents through the Sherwood Multicultural Day, Symons Movie in the Park and the various other community events my team and I attended throughout the month. Thank you to all the dedicated community volunteers, and to everyone who stopped by to enjoy good food, conversation, and community spirit.

Other highlights from the month included three ground breakings in our ward including the Calgary North Water Servicing project federal funding announcement, Symons Valley Centre Library, and Arbour Lake's new playground. We are building and growing in Calgary's North West and I am proud to call it home.

Want to get involved in your community? Are you looking to support your neighbours or have a worthy cause you would like to share? This is where we share the events, fundraisers, and programs that are happening near you. There are so many creative ways to make a difference in your communities, and we want to help spread the word!

Due to the high volume of events this month with summer and Stampede, I refer you to Ward 2's October Newsletter to see the full list of events. For Stampede specific events, please visit our blog post breaking down each community event.
