Calgary’s Youth Hiring Fair Returns this March
As warmer weather approaches, many young people across Calgary are looking for opportunities to gain experience, earn income, and take their next step into the workforce. Finding that first job, or even the next one, can be challenging, which is why events like the Youth Hiring Fair continue to matter for young Calgarians and their families.
The City of Calgary’s Youth Employment Centre is hosting the 2026 Youth Hiring Fair on Thursday, March 26, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at the Big Four Building at Stampede Park. This free, in‑person event is designed for job seekers between the ages of 15 and 24, including high school students, post‑secondary students, recent graduates, and young adults entering the workforce.
More than 80 employers will be on site and actively hiring for thousands of part‑time, full‑time, seasonal, and permanent positions. The goal of the fair is simple: to connect motivated young people directly with employers who are ready to hire, and to remove some of the barriers that often make job searching difficult.
For more than 25 years, the Youth Hiring Fair has played an important role in supporting Calgary’s youth workforce. Over that time, it has connected more than 100,000 young people with employers across the city. Each year, thousands of youth attend to explore career options, gain confidence through face‑to‑face conversations, and secure employment.
Preparing ahead of time can make a real difference. The Youth Employment Centre encourages youth to visit the centre before the fair to access free, one‑on‑one support. Drop‑in services are available at 315 10 Avenue S.E., Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and include resume support, interview preparation, and job‑search strategies. No appointment is required.
The Youth Employment Centre offers free, year‑round services and supports youth at every stage of their job search. For more information about the hiring fair and to view participating employers, visit calgary.ca/yechiring.
