Have your say on Calgary’s 2027–2030 Budget
As City Council begins work on Calgary’s 2027–2030 Business Plans and Budgets, I want to make sure Ward 2 residents know how and when they can share their priorities. The four‑year budget plays a significant role in shaping the services and infrastructure Calgarians rely on every day, and this is an important opportunity to provide input before decisions are finalized. Whether your focus is on neighbourhood services, citywide infrastructure, or how Calgary plans for the future, I encourage you to take part and make your voice heard.
Public engagement is open from now until April 15, and this is an important opportunity for residents to provide input before the budget is finalized.
For many people, the four‑year budget affects everyday life. It influences investment in services Calgarians rely on, including transit, roads, fire, police, and core infrastructure. Hearing directly from residents helps ensure these decisions reflect community priorities and real‑world needs.
That’s why I encourage residents to take part in this engagement. Feedback gathered through this process will help Administration and Council better understand where Calgarians believe the City should focus its efforts as the budget is developed.
Ward 2 pop‑up session at Crowfoot
There will be an in‑person pop‑up session right here in Ward 2, where residents can learn more about the budget process, ask questions, and share feedback on the spot.
The Ward 2 pop‑up will take place on March 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Melcor YMCA at Crowfoot, located at 8100 John Laurie Boulevard N.W.
These pop‑ups are designed to be informal and accessible, whether you want to spend a few minutes filling out the survey or have a longer conversation about City priorities.
Other ways to participate
Residents can also share their input online by completing a short survey through the City’s Engage Portal. All feedback collected, along with existing research and reports, will be considered as Administration and Council develop and approve the 2027–2030 Business Plans and Budgets later this year. A What We Heard report will be presented to Council in mid‑2026.
To take the survey or find a pop‑up session in another part of the city, visit calgary.ca/budgetinput.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes to participate and make your voice heard.
