Supplies

  • 5 Empty plastic water bottles
  • Paint
  • Paint brush
  • Pebbles, sand, rice or dried beans
  • Ball

Step one

Design your bowling pins

In the empty plastic water bottles, add 2-3 drops of white paint, or any color you like. Add a bit of water.

Close the lid and make sure it is secure and tight.

Next, shake and swish the bottle around to get the paint fully covering the inside of the bottle. Complete this for each bottle.

Let this dry for a few hours or overnight.

When dry, use a paint brush to paint lines on the outside of the bottle. Let this dry again for a few hours or overnight.

Step two

Set up your pins

Set up your pins so that one pin is in front and the others are positioned diagonally. Place a piece of tape to mark where the pins will start.

Take a few steps back and place a piece of tape or something to mark the floor. This is where you will start.

Step three

How to play

Each player gets 2 turns. Play for 8 rounds.

Using a soft and squishy ball, toss the ball and see how many pins you knock down. Reset the frame by removing knocked down pins. Player bowls again for their second turn.

Add points to a score card with your names at the top.

Use the following to help keep track of points.

  • "X" for a Strike = worth 10 points
  • "/" for a Split = worth 8 points
  • Each pin knocked down is 1 point
  • Or make up your own point system!
