|Program: Calgary Transit-Low Income Youth and Adult Monthly Passes
Provided on a sliding scale
|How and when you get your pass or service: As soon as you are approved through Fair Entry, your pass can be purchased online or in-person at one of the listed locations.|
|Program: Calgary Transit Low-Income Seniors Yearly Pass||How and when you get your pass or service: As soon as you are approved through Fair Entry, your pass can be purchased online or in-person at one of the listed locations.|
|Program: Recreation Fee Assistance||How and when you get your pass or service: All City recreation facilities are closed until further notice in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The process for remote refunds or credit is being developed. If we have your email address, we will contact you with updates. Due to high call volumes please do not call for a refund. Get more information.|
|Program: No Cost Spay/Neuter Program||How and when you get your pass or service: The No Cost Spay/Neuter program has been suspended in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19. All previously scheduled appointments for this program are now canceled, and indefinitely postponed. If you have any questions please contact 311.|
|Program: Seniors Services Home Maintenance||How and when you get your pass or service: In order to help stop the spread of COVID-19, The City of Calgary has temporarily suspended all Seniors Services Home Maintenance housekeeping services. This program change will affect current Seniors Services Home Maintenance housekeeping clients, as well new applicants interested in housekeeping services as the program will not be accepting any new clients during this temporary suspension. Snow removal services will be unaffected by these changes and will continue to be provided.|
|Program: Property Tax Assistance Program||How and when you get your pass or service: Within six weeks you will receive a letter confirming your rebate and outlining how it will applied.|
How do I prove my income?
Eligibility is based on your income.
Details about proving your income can be found in the application. The accepted proofs of income are:
- Assured Income for Severely Handicapped benefits (AISH)
- Alberta Works: Income subsidy/support
- Alberta Works: Learners
- Alberta Works: Alberta Health Benefit
- Resettlement Assistance Program
- Independent youth letter (a letter from school principal, guidance counsellor, or Child and Youth Support Program of Alberta Children’s Services)
- Canada Revenue Agency: Notice of Assessment
- The combined total income from line 150 for all adult household members is required.
- Letter from a Registered Social Worker (RSW)
