On July 31, 2008, in Calgary, Alberta, Yan Ten Li did unlawfully contravene the Approved Fire Safety Guideline for Rooming Houses & Converted Buildings, Standata 97 FCV 006, Section 5(b)(i); as applied by Alberta Fire Code 2006, Division C, Part 2, Sentence 2.1.1.1(2); for failing to to provide at least one, 2-A:10-B:C rated, multi-purpose dry chemical portable fire extinguisher located in the vincinity of the principal entrance or exit on each floor level and thereby did commit an offence under Section 67(4)(a) of the Safety Codes Act, RSA 2000, c. S-1.
