Based on updated Provincial public health measures announced May 4, all City of Calgary-operated indoor and outdoor sport, fitness and recreation programs and facility bookings will be suspended until further notice. Information about summer programs, including day camps, will be available when Provincial health orders permit.

Accessibility of recreation facilities

We work to create a supportive and inclusive environment where our facilities are physically accessible and welcoming. We recognize the importance of continually reviewing and improving our facilities; and incorporate accessibility improvements as part of facility lifecycle projects.

Currently, recreation facilities have various levels of accessibility. Access is the continuous path of travel for people with disabilities and takes into consideration the customer’s experience - from parking lot to their chosen activity area. Therefore accessibility of the parking, entrance, signage, washrooms and the specific amenities within our facilities is detailed on each facilities access page to help you better plan and find recreation that is accessible and useable for you.

Access for people with limited mobility - wheelchair accessible

Access for people who are blind or have low vision - white cane

Access for people who are deaf or have hearing loss
