Art studio membership

Adult ceramists who are able to work without instruction and have met the required prerequisites, are invited to become members of our ceramic studio. Studio members can enjoy creative interaction in a supportive community studio setting. Studio members are expected to follow established guidelines, safe practices and be able to work independently. The studio offers a variety of firing options.

Ceramic Studio Memberships are available on a monthly or hourly basis.

Custom firings

If you have ceramic works to be fired, contact our experts. Our Ceramic Specialists can carry out custom firings for you in our electric and gas kilns.  This option compliments a home studio potter, a school, or any ceramic enthusiast who needs access to firing. Due to the number of variables to consider, costs for this service are determined individually. Please contact the Arts Centres to book a consultation with a Ceramic Specialist about your specific interests.

Custom programs and Artist Residencies

Visit the Arts Centres and we will deliver an existing program to your group or have our arts specialists custom design a visual arts experience for you. Custom programs can also be arranged for professional development, team-building, social events and as an auxiliary conference feature. Custom program fees include the cost of instruction and materials.

We welcome school inquiries for in-school artist residency programs and are pleased to collaborate with parent councils, schools and non-profit organizations to provide Calgarians with unique interactions with artists.

Residencies are designed to animate curriculum or specific themes, using the fine and performing arts. Artists work together with students and teachers to creatively explore concepts and master techniques. This dynamic interaction, which can be catered to your particular needs and delivered on your site, provides students with an alternative vehicle for learning.

Artist residencies can vary in length, duration and cost. Contact a custom program specialist at the Arts Centre to discuss your needs.
