Rules and regulations - Calgary Soccer Centre

City of Calgary staff may establish and enforce additional rules as deemed necessary. Violation of any of these rules may result in a loss of Centre privileges.


  • Pets are not allowed on the property.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside the facility, on outdoor fields or outdoor seating areas. There is a designated smoking area 5 metres from the building.
  • Spectators are allowed.
  • Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and baseball metal cleats are not allowed on our artificial turf fields.
  • The City of Calgary is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
  • The City of Calgary is not liable for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal property that may result from Soccer Centre use. 


  • Solicitation, marketing, or facility branding is unauthorized without permission by City of Calgary staff.
  • Unauthorized raffles or lotteries are not permitted in City facilities.
  • Unauthorized sale or distribution of food or beverages, goods and services is prohibited.
  • Unless otherwise stated, all food and beverage must be acquired through on-site tenants.


Drug and alcohol consumption

Please help us provide a safe and enjoyable family environment for everyone.

  • Alcohol must be consumed in licensed areas only (lounge area). Possession or consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited in all common areas, on the fields and in the dressing rooms.
  • There is zero tolerance for illegal drug consumption (controlled substances) at Recreation and Parks facilities.
  • If found in possession of, or intoxicated from, drugs and/or alcohol in prohibited areas, you may face the following actions:
    • Refusal of entry or removal from the premises
    • Loss of all booked permit times (current and potentially future) at the Calgary Soccer Centre, with no refund for monies paid
    • Loss of all booked permit times (current and potentially future) at all City Recreation and Parks facilities with no refund for monies paid
    • Leagues:
      • The league will have the option of removing the offending team from their league, or lose all booked permit times (current and potentially future) at the Calgary Soccer Centre. Leagues must provide notification that the team has been removed from the league by the deadline provided in official communication from the Calgary Recreation.
      • If a league, and teams within the league, continue to not comply with these guidelines, the league will lose all booked permit times (current and potentially future) at all City Recreation and Parks facilities with no refund for monies paid

Renter responsibilities

  • The renter is responsible for the conduct of all participants, spectators and affiliated members (volunteers, coordinators, officials, etc.) involved.
  • The renter is responsible for all media release, liability waivers, and assumption of risk agreements for each of its participants.
  • The renter will notify a City of Calgary staff immediately if an injury occurs.
  • Renters and participants do not have exclusive use of common areas around the fields.
  • The renter and participants will be allowed access onto the field at the START of the appointment time, and are required to vacate field at the END of the appointment time. This includes setup and teardown time if necessary (does not account for change room time).
  • Field Modifications including but not limited to additional equipment, or field markings must be approved by City of Calgary staff. Additional installation and/or removal fees may be incurred.
  • All fields, change rooms and common areas are to be left in equal to or better condition as found. Groups/Individuals are responsible for any damage to the facility, plus a minimum $250.00 fine.
  • Food and drinks are not permitted on the fields or player benches, including but not limited to chewing gum, seeds and tobacco products. Water is permitted.
  • Outdoor fields may be closed unexpectedly due to inclement weather. It is your responsibility to check the field status prior to arriving.
