Development Permit Public Notice

The Development Permit Public Notice is a listing of develo​pment applications that have already been approved by the Development Authority in accordance with The City of Calgary Land Use Bylaw 1P2007. Once the development approval is listed below, citizens have 21 days to appeal the development permit decision if they wish. To submit an appeal to the Development Authority’s decision, review the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) appeal process or the Land and Property Rights Tribunal (LPRT). The relevant appeal board is indicated in the permit information below.

Similar to the SDAB, Land and Property Rights Tribunal (LPRT) hears appeals of decisions made by The City of Calgary subdivision and development authorities; however the LPRT only hears specific types of appeals that relate to provincial interests. You may file an appeal to the LPRT by emailing Lprt.appeals@gov.ab.ca

To find out which board you should appeal to, you can check the development permit information in the public notices page. If you are unsure which board to submit an appeal to, either board will accept appeals and transfer the appeal to the correct board.

To provide feedback or comments on applications that have a notice posting sign, and/or are currently under review, find the application on the development map, and write to the file manager before a decision is made.

Notice posting signs​ are physical signs that are posted on the site of potential developments to inform citizens about proposed land use amendments and development permits on the property.
