Types of drop-in skating
Schedules below are updated daily at 6 a.m. For any last minute class cancellations, check Live and Play.
Note: Schedules show activities 14 days in advance. Some activities allow spots to be reserved ahead of time. Reservations can be made up to 7 days before the activity’s date, starting at 5:30 a.m. daily.

Come prepared
Public skate
- Participants 17 years and under must wear a helmet (a CSA-approved hockey helmet is recommended).
- A helmet is recommended for participants 18 years and over.
- Skates or ice cleats/grippers are required while on the ice.
- Long pants and long sleeves are recommended while on the ice.
- Children under eight must be accompanied on ice by someone 14 years and older.
- Skating aids, sledges and wheelchairs are permitted on the ice.
- Figure skating or hockey drills are not permitted.
- Sticks and pucks/rings, tag or other games are not permitted.
Sticks, pucks & rings
- Participants 17 years and under must wear full hockey equipment and a CSA-approved hockey helmet.
- Participants 18 years and older must wear skates, gloves, long pants, long sleeves and a CSA-approved hockey helmet. Full hockey equipment is recommended.
- Children under eight years old must be accompanied on the ice by someone 14 years and older.
- Chairs, skating aids, strollers, wheelchairs and other devices are not permitted on the ice.
- No slap shots, organized games or shooter tutors.
- Goalies are welcome to attend. Hockey nets will not have the posts inserted.
- Maximum 40 skaters.
