Construction

Minimizing construction impacts

We know construction affects your daily travel. We are working to keep you moving and reduce disruption where we can.

  • Keeping traffic moving

Two eastbound lanes will be open at all time.

  • Clear detours

Signs will guide you through the area, whether you are driving, walking or wheeling.

  • Off-peak work schedule

Most of the work takes place during daytime hours, and work will pause during Stampede (July 3–12) to keep disruption to a minimum.

What to expect

As construction progresses, we anticipate several impacts in the area, including:

  • Lower speed limit to (50 km/hr)
  • Short-term delays
  • Crews and equipment on site
  • Noise and dust at times
  • Some night time work required
