Independent Ceramic Studio Access

Our ceramic studio is modern, well-ventilated and has abundant natural light. Ceramists are able to work independently with supervision from expert staff. It is an extension of our programmed spaces and is designed for clay artists to develop their skills while working in community.

Who can apply for independent studio access?

Use of our ceramic studio is for adult ceramists (18+) who can work without instruction and have completed the following prerequisites.

  • Exhibit a sufficient understanding of the materials, tools, equipment, and processes required to safely work in the studio.
  • Have completed (at least twice) all three levels of clay courses NMPAC or WFAC offers. Equivalent experience may be considered through an interview process.
  • Have attended a mandatory Orientation & Safety session as coordinated by staff (allow 90 mins).

We are unable to accommodate production potters or high-volume producers (output is monitored).
