Open Data provides public access to data managed by The City. It is easily accessible, free to use, re-use and redistribute without any legal, technological or social restriction. We encourage everyone to use open data to increase innovation within our community.
How to use Open Data
Find some errors, discrepancies, or anything suspicious in Open Data?
The Open Data Portal includes datasets from various business units and departments at The City of Calgary.
These datasets are available in multiple file formats and anyone can download them at no charge. The data can be used for any purpose subject to the Open Calgary Terms of Use.
Examples of file formats:
- Analysts: CSV/Excel access
- Developers: API samples
- Students/Researchers: starter notebooks
- Businesses: real-world use cases
