Stoney Trail at Harvest Hills Boulevard interchange
Project updates - September 2022
Lane closure: Stoney Trail / Harvest Hills Boulevard Interchange
Crews are working on the final roadwork to tie in to the new southbound interchange bridge and the following closure is in effect between September 12-26, 2022:
- From September 12 to 26, 2022, the right hand lane on southbound Harvest Hills Boulevard over Stoney Trail will be closed.
- The eastbound Stoney Trail to northbound Harvest Hills Boulevard ramp has also been reduced from two lanes to one lane temporarily to accommodate the roadworks.
We anticipate construction will be complete in the fall of 2022.
- The speed limit of Stoney Trail close to the interchange construction area may be reduced to 80 km/h during construction.

You can see answers to the questions asked during the design of the Stoney Trail and Harvest Hills Boulevard interchange here.
The existing interchange was constructed in 2010 and is three lanes wide, with two lanes northbound and a single lane southbound. This project will upgrade the interchange by building a second three-lane bridge adjacent to the existing north-south bridge, providing three travel lanes in each direction once completed. For those wanting to walk or cycle across Stoney Trail, the final interchange will include a multi-use path which will connect to existing and future pathways.
