Affordable Housing

Affordable housing is about people. Access to safe and stable housing helps create inclusive communities and makes our city a great place to live and work for citizens of all income levels.

Our Corporate Affordable Housing Strategy – Foundations for Home, and accompanying Implementation Plan sets The City’s direction over the next ten years to ensure Calgarians living on lower incomes have a safe, stable place to call home.

NEW – We will be accepting applications for The Home Program, which provides funding to non-profits to deliver projects that increase housing stability and successful tenancies for affordable housing residents and people in housing need, March 24 – April 28, 2023.
