Stoney Trail at Harvest Hills Boulevard interchange

Project updates - November 2021

Stoney Trail / Harvest Hills N. interchange

Crews will be working on the bridge decks over the next few weeks, and there will be nightly closures for both westbound and eastbound Stoney Trail:

  • November 29 to December 6, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly:
Westbound Stoney Trail will have single and double lane closures while crews are working. The on ramps will remain open, and flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
  • December 6 to 13, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly:
Eastbound Stoney Trail will have single and double lane closures while crews are working. The on ramps will remain open, and flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.

Road work, utility, and streetlight installations north and south of Stoney Trail are complete for the year, and crews will return in the spring to continue with the road work construction.

Impacts:

You can see answers to the questions asked during the design of the Stoney Trail and Harvest Hills Boulevard interchange here.

The existing interchange was constructed in 2010 and is three lanes wide, with two lanes northbound and a single lane southbound. This project will upgrade the interchange by building a second three-lane bridge adjacent to the existing north-south bridge, providing three travel lanes in each direction once completed. For those wanting to walk or cycle across Stoney Trail, the final interchange will include a multi-use path which will connect to existing and future pathways.
