Paint the Pavement Program

Paint the Pavement is a volunteer-led program that allows you and your neighbours to come together and create art on a public street.

For a community to participate in the Paint the Pavement Program, approval is required from The City of Calgary and the following requirements must be met: artwork and location approval, all required permits must be obtained.

The Process

Apply for the program and permit

Once you register for a myID, you will be able to log into ePermits to apply. Select Street Use permit, subcategory “other.”

If you need help or additional explanation when using the ePermits website, please see the ePermit frequently asked questions.

Permits are issued at the discretion of the Traffic Engineer, as per the Streets Bylaw 20M88.
