The annual Mayor's Environment Expo is held in conjunction with National Environment Week with the goal to empower and educate Calgary’s youth to practice and promote environmental actions, shaping a healthier and greener city for tomorrow.
The 33rd annual Mayor's Environment Expo will run virtually May 30 to June 3, 2022 and in-person May 31 to June 1, 2022.
More than 35 online sessions are being offered, combined with more than 80 in-person sessions over two days. Sessions are designed to educate and empower students to take their learning beyond the classroom – and ultimately, to become the environmental stewards of tomorrow.

Interested in being an exhibitor?
The application form is now available for those interested in exhibiting at the Mayor's Environment Expo Learning Commons, in the atrium of the Municipal Building and on the Municipal Plaza. Download the Exhibitor Information Package to answer all your questions or contact expo@calgary.ca
Don't forget to register online
Although the Expo is free and open to everyone, we request teachers register to ensure space in workshops and for security purposes.
The deadline for in-person registration is May 23, 2022. You can register for virtual events right up until the start of each session.
2022 Opening Ceremony
Everyone, regardless of how you plan to attend, is invited to register for and attend the Opening Ceremony with Mayor Gondek on Monday May 30 at 9:30 A.M.
Opening Ceremony
Join Mayor Gondek as she kicks off her first Mayor's Environment Expo. She will share her passion for climate action and environmental stewardship while welcoming students and teachers to join The City in its climate and environment initiatives through Expo sessions, exhibitors and programming.
Stay for the last 15 minutes as EcoSchools Canada's Alberta delivery partner, the Alberta Council for Environmental Education (ACEE), announces which EcoSchools achieved certification this year.
