About the projects
The City of Calgary is investing in public spaces, recreation and roadway infrastructure in the Altadore-North Glenmore area, with construction of several significant projects kicking off in 2025.
These projects will deliver new twin-arena and track and field facilities at Glenmore Athletic Park, upgrade the 50 Avenue S.W. roadway from Crowchild Trail S.W. all the way into Sandy Beach Park (including parking lots), new multiuse pathways, resurface Glenmore Trail S.W. from Crowchild Trail S.W. to Elbow Drive S.W. and replace the noise barrier along Crowchild Trail from Glenmore Trail S.W. to 50 Ave S.W.
City teams are working collaboratively to coordinate projects to help mitigate impacts and provide community members with up-to-date information on timelines, detours and milestones.
