Anderson Road S.E. Paving
Project update – December 2025
Construction on Anderson Road S.E. has progressed well and is now complete for the season. Several key improvements are in place and open to traffic.
New traffic signals at Acadia Drive are fully operational, and all concrete work in the area is complete. Pavement milling has finished, and the first layer of asphalt has been placed along Anderson Road.
The eastbound section of Anderson Road between Bonaventure Drive and Acadia Drive has been widened and opened, improving traffic flow and capacity. A new third eastbound lane east of Acadia Drive is also complete and open to motorists. In addition, about 200 metres of full roadway reconstruction has been completed.
New dual left-turn lanes from eastbound Anderson Road to northbound Bonaventure Drive are now open. These changes improve safety and help reduce congestion through the corridor.
Work on Acadia Drive between 120 Avenue S.E. and Mapleglade Drive S.E. / Willingdon Boulevard S.E. is complete. This included concrete replacement, new wheelchair ramps, pavement milling, and two lifts of asphalt.
These improvements support safer travel, better accessibility, and more reliable connections for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and transit customers.
Some remaining work on Anderson Road will continue in 2026, including removal of temporary concrete barriers on westbound Anderson Road between Deerfoot Trail and Acadia Drive, completion of the final lift of asphalt paving, and installation of new overhead signs.
The Anderson Road S.E. paving project includes fixing the road surface, as well as replacing sidewalks and wheelchair ramps. These improvements will make the area safer and easier to use for people walking, biking, or using mobility aids.
