Discount on registered classes, lessons and day camps
Save up to 90% on most registered programs:
- Art classes
- Swimming and skating
- Sports and fitness
- Dance and martial arts
- And more.
Children and youth (17 and under)
- Save 90% on programs under $100.
- Example: An $86 swimming lesson costs $8.60.
- For programs over $100, save 90% up to $100 per program.
- Example: A $250 day camp costs $150.
- You can use the subsidy for up to four programs or $250 total in a 12-month period.
Adults (18 and over)
- Save 90%, up to $50 per program.
- Example: An $84 program costs $34.
- You can use the subsidy for one program in a 12-month period.
How to register for programs
Once approved through Fair Entry, you can register for programs:
- In person at a recreation facility (please bring a valid government-issued photo ID or student ID)
- By phone at 403-268-3800
- Online.
Step-by-step instructions for registering online
- Go to Live and Play.
- Click "Logon" on the top right corner.
- Enter your login information, using the email address you provided on your Fair Entry application. Do not create a new account.
- If you are logging in for the first time, click "Click here if you have forgotten your password" to add your password.
- Once logged in, click "Menu" then select "Registered Programs".
- Find your desired program type, then click "More".
- Select the lesson type.
- Find the class you want, then click "Book".
- Confirm the class information, then click "Book" beside the person you are registering for. The class is added to your cart.
- You can add multiple classes to your cart before checking out and paying.
- The Recreation Fee Assistance subsidy is automatically applied, if available.
- If you choose not to use subsidy for a class, click "Subsidy Programs", then click "Exclude".
- When ready, click "Checkout".
- Enter your payment information.
- You will receive a confirmation when the transaction is completed.

Cancellations
- Unused subsidy cannot be carried over or transferred.
- If you withdraw before a program starts:
- Programs under $120 are non-refundable.
- Programs over $120 are refunded minus a 10% cancellation fee.
- If you withdraw after a program starts, fees and subsidy are non-refundable.
