Fire permits

Various public and private activities in Calgary require a fire permit.

For more information on obtaining a permit, please contact the Fire Prevention Bureau through 311 or 403-268-2489 if calling from outside Calgary.

Fireworks, pyrotechnics and open flames permits

Fireworks and pyrotechnics must not be ignited or fired in Calgary except by a trained and certified professional with a fireworks permit.
Flammable or combustible tank permits

The Calgary Fire Department is the authority in Calgary for the installation, removal or alteration of flammable and combustible liquid storage tanks.
