Golf course no-shows and penalties

At The City of Calgary Golf Courses there are a limited number of tee times available and a high demand for those times. The following policies are in place to accommodate those who truly wish to play and ensure golfers are accountable for their bookings.

If you are unsure about how to change or cancel a booked tee time, please visit how to book a tee time page for additional information.

Be courteous to your fellow golfers. If your plans change please cancel or reduce the number of players in your group in advance so that others have a chance to play.

A "no-show" is defined as failing to honour your tee time reservation.

No-show penalties

Two "no-shows" will result in the automatic suspension of booking privileges for 14 days.

Further no-shows will result in penalties up to and including suspension of booking privileges for the remainder of golf season.

Late check-in

All golfers must check in with the cashier a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your tee time. The time will be given to walk-on players should you check in less than 15 minutes in advance. This policy is enforced. To avoid disappointment, please check in well in advance.

Inclement weather

Weather patterns often vary from one area in Calgary to another therefore golfers are required to cancel their tee times in the event of inclement weather or risk being assessed with a No show. No Shows are not assessed to individuals should golf course management deem course conditions unplayable and subsequently close for business.

Multiple bookings

Through The City of Calgary Tee Time Golf Reservation System, golfers may book a maximum of two tee times per day, regardless of location. This policy applies to all City of Calgary municipal golf courses.
