COVID-19 health and safety measures are in place at events. Please practice physical distancing and keep at least 2 metres from others at all times. This includes interacting with City staff and unloading your paint.
Commercial painting businesses can also contact one of the current registered paint processors in Alberta to discuss pickup of your leftover paint. Charges may apply.
Commercial volumes of paint are too large to be accepted at the household hazardous waste drop-off locations or Throw n' Go areas at City landfills, and will not be accepted.
When you drop off paint during a commercial paint roundup event, please be aware of the following requirements:
- Do not bring any type of hazardous waste.
- Only qualified paint and paint containers approved under Alberta's Paint Recycling Program are acceptable.
- All paint containers must be sealed.
- You will be required to unload all paint materials yourself.
If you have any questions about the commercial paint roundups, please email email@example.com or contact 311.
Any unacceptable materials, including hazardous waste, will be returned to you. These materials are not accepted at household hazardous waste drop-off locations or the Thrown' Go area at Shepard Landfill. Please check the Alberta Recycling Hotline or call 1-800-463-6326 to properly dispose of these materials.
