School Connections YYC

School Connections YYC connects schools with community-based organizations to access available space in schools for programs and services to support students and families.

The City of Calgary has collaborated with the Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District to create the new School Connections YYC (SCYYC) framework. SCYYC replaces Access 3-6.

For organizations

If your organization is looking for venues to offer programs or services to youth, you’ve come to the right place. Our School connections YYC portal allows you to place your program in front of school prinicpals throughout the Catholic and public school system. Schools are always looking for unique programs to benefit their students. If you have something to offer, a school may have a time and place where you can run your program.

Programs and services can be offered in schools from school dismissal until public rentals times, these hours may vary depending on the school.

The application and approval process is easy. Once programs or organizations are approved, they can access the online database in the School Connections YYC portal.

For school principals

The School Connections YYC portal connects you to after school opportunities for your students. If you have free space at your school, why not leverage that to add more programs?

The programs run without any teacher support, and organizations have been pre-vetted by the City of Calgary and School Board Rentals staff. Signing up doesn’t commit you to anything, the principal of each school decides if they would like to pursue one of the many opportunities available.

Already have a myID business account?

Only programs and schools with SCYYC accounts can access the database.
