About the Mayor’s Environment Expo
The Mayor’s Environment Expo is The City of Calgary’s annual environmental education event for students. Held during National Environment Week, the Expo is designed to encourage and empower youth to practice and promote environmental actions that help build a healthier and greener city. The Expo typically includes a mix of virtual sessions and in-person programming, along with participation from schools, community organizations, exhibitors and partners.
2026 by the numbers

schools and homeschool groups in Calgary participated. This includes attending environmental education workshops and sessions in person and/or online.

students, teachers and chaperones attended the Expo in person. Attendance was at various venues in and around City Hall, including the Calgary Municipal Building, Werklund Centre, Central Library and Platform Innovation Centre.

Each year, the Mayor’s Environment Expo brings students, teachers, exhibitors, volunteers and community partners together for hands-on environmental learning.
