The summer fun continues downtown with more than 200 festivals and events until the end of September! Break out your sunglasses and embrace the summer vibes with sunny days and cool nights. From street festivals and outdoor concerts to night markets, film screenings and comedy shows, downtown Calgary is the place to be as the sun sets and the city lights come on.

Calgary Pop-Up Care Village

When: August 21
Where:  Central Memorial Park
Website: Calgary Pop-Up Care Village

The Calgary Pop-Up Care Village is a festival for anyone experiencing systemic vulnerabilities such as homelessness, addiction, mental health issues, poverty, language and cultural barriers, and more.

The festival provides equitable access to basic services such as case management, healthcare, clothing, haircuts, food, and more to the community. This is a one-day event that upholds guests' inherent human dignity, and it bridges the wider Calgarian community with the underserved population.

4th Street Night Market

Visit the lively main street neighborhood for food, fun, local finds, & friends. This event is pet-friendly!

Brewery & the Beast

Brewery & the Beast attracts chefs and restaurants from Calgary, Banff, Edmonton and surrounding areas to showcase incredible food and beverages from Alberta. This festival creates a playful and educational environment where you can learn about local proteins and produce, enjoy quality food and drink, and participate in a dynamic environment that supports local businesses.

Family Fun Hour: Farm Folks

Get ready to play, create, and explore together! Each week brings a new theme packed with hands-on activities for kids ages toddler to 11. This week’s theme is Farm Folks.

House Meets Garden Tour

Discover the architecture and gardens of Lougheed House in this guided indoor-outdoor tour.

Deftones – North American Tour

Rock out with Deftones live on their Private Music tour, joined by special guests Phantogram and The Barbarians of California.

Made in Italy

A one-man comedy about family, tradition, and food, starring Farren Timoteo in a hilarious and heartfelt performance.

Lainey Wilson – Whirlwind Tour

Enjoy rising country star Lainey Wilson live on her Whirlwind Tour with special guests ERNEST and Kaitlin Butts, performing hits like Heart Like a Truck and Watermelon Moonshine.

Queer Trivia: Icons & Allies

Celebrate Pride with rounds of trivia on queer icons, allies, and music. Bring your besties!

ReggaeFest

Calgary’s premier celebration of reggae music and Caribbean culture, returning for its rhythmic two-day experience. Expect a family-friendly atmosphere, live performances from local and international artists, Caribbean food vendors, craft stalls, a beer & soda stand, and plenty of community vibes!

When: August 29-30
