What better way to spend your day than by immersing yourself in Calgary’s rich public art scene.

Begin your day exploring downtown parks like St. Patricks Island or Barb Scott Park and the awe-inspiring pieces that fill their landscapes.

Next up, make your way through Calgary’s Arts & Culture hub; Stephen Avenue where you will find a wide variety of sculptures and vibrant displays.

Be sure to make a special stop to check out the World’s Tallest Mural for that perfect ‘instagrammable moment’ before closing off your day with a stroll down 17th Avenue to check out the many BUMP murals.

Winter fun

Calgary boasts its own winter wonderland with an outdoor skating rink in the heart of downtown. Pack your skates and mittens, and head down to Olympic Plaza for an afternoon of family fun.

If you’re up for more snow filled excitement, rent some snowshoes from River Valley Adventure co. to explore the snowy paths along the Bow River.

Grab a hot chocolate from Rosso and warm up by a community fire pit to end off the day.
