With over 200 festivals and events happening downtown this summer, the heart of our city will be bursting with energy, entertainment and community pride as we kick off a summer packed with fun, local talent and memory-making events.

Canada Day

Where: The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary), St. Patrick’s Island, Municipal Building

Celebrate Canada Day with a full day of fun, connection and culture for all ages. Enjoy an Indigenous spotlight and powwow, live music, cultural interactive activities, food trucks, face painting and more! Be sure to catch the all-Canadian Main Stage show at The Confluence starting at 3:20 p.m., featuring Lu Kala, Big Sugar, Aysanabee and headliner Sam Roberts Band. Cap off the day with fireworks above Stampede Park just after 11 p.m.

For more than 100 years, the Calgary Stampede has welcomed the world to Calgary for the richest rodeo in the world, thrilling chuckwagon races, midway rides and games, Indigenous culture, agriculture showcases, and endless live music.

Calgary Stampede Breakfasts
The Calgary Stampede, known for its vibrant celebrations, will host dozens of free pancake breakfasts. These breakfasts are a staple of the festivities, offering attendees a chance to enjoy pancakes, sausages, coffee, and more in a community setting.
Cowboys Music Festival
Canada's most legendary 11-day music festival and party! Cowboys Music Festival is a world-famous event in Calgary that hosts guests from around the globe during the Calgary Stampede - the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
Métis Stampede Festival
The Calgary Nose Hill and Elbow Métis Districts, in partnership with the Rocky View Métis District, are proud to invite you to the Métis Stampede Festival — a vibrant one-day cultural celebration showcasing the richness of Métis heritage.
Mexifest
Mexifest is a three-day, family-oriented multicultural festival in downtown Calgary that celebrates Mexican culture and promotes cross-cultural experiences through contemporary and traditional arts and entertainment. On Friday, there will be free admission from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The Roundup Music Festival
The Roundup Music Festival offers world-class entertainment to Calgarians by bringing internationally acclaimed artists to the stage in a first-class outdoor music festival format. This event is 18+.
2025 Tech Stampede Social
Platform Calgary is teaming up with amazing partners to bring Calgary’s tech community together for a proper Stampede send-off - complete with local drinks, tasty bites, shared stories, and big community energy in a first-floor takeover, indoors and out.
Inglewood Night Market
The Inglewood Night Market is a modern market with locally sourced and handmade vendors selling diverse goods; from handmade crafts to vintage clothing, antiques & collectibles, artisan eats & more. Enjoy 140 curated local artisans, beer gardens and dogs are welcome!
