Schedules below are updated daily at 6 a.m. For any last minute class cancellations, check Live and Play.
Note: Schedules show activities 14 days in advance. Some activities allow spots to be reserved ahead of time. Reservations can be made up to 7 days before the activity’s date, starting at 5:30 a.m. daily.

How to book a spot
Instructor led classes, hockey, rock climbing & gymnastics require you to book an appointment in order to confirm your spot. Reservations can be made up to seven days in advance, starting at 5:30 a.m. daily.
Booking a spot does not include admission to the facility. You will be required to pay drop-in admission or present a valid pass for entry to the facility.

- Admission is valid for the entire day, even if you leave and return. However, you must keep your wristbands on or produce a copy of your receipt for re-entry. Re-entry is not guaranteed if the facility is at capacity when you return.
- All children under 8 years must be accompanied by a responsible person (minimum 14 years of age) while in the facility.

What drop-in gentle fitness classes are like
Gentle Fitness Level 1
Slow paced exercise classes focusing on functional movements, fall prevention and strength exercises. Primarily a seated class.
- Significant limitations to exercise.
- Capable of 0-15 minutes of continuous physical activity.
- Mobility issues, may be at risk of a fall, may use mobility devices.
Gentle Fitness Level 2
Moderately paced exercise classes focusing on increasing functional capacity, balance and mobility, muscle strength and aerobic endurance. Seated and standing components.
- Some limitations to exercise.
- Capable of 15 – 30 minutes of continuous physical activity.
- Mild-moderate balance and/ or mobility issues may use mobility aide.
Gentle Fitness Level 3
Moderately paced exercise classes focusing on improving participant’s functional strength and on increasing aerobic endurance. Primarily a standing class.
- Little to no limitations to exercise.
- Capable of doing 30+ minutes of continuous physical activity.
- No significant mobility issues.

Group fitness class guidelines
Guidelines
In accordance with Alberta Health and Calgary Recreation requirements, for your safety and enjoyment:
- Reserve your spot. Reservations are required for all drop-in group fitness classes and can be made up to seven days in advance online at calgary.ca/liveandplay. Please ensure you check-in at the front counter when you arrive. If you cannot attend, please cancel your online reservation to allow others to participate.
- If you are new to class arrive a few minutes early to meet your instructor and get assistance with equipment set up.
- Arrive early to set up. This allows you to set-up equipment, warm-up properly to avoid injury and limits disruption to the class.
- Be on time. Latecomers may be refused entry.
- Wear appropriate athletic wear. No jeans.
- Wear clean, closed-toe indoor athletic shoes. No flip flops, sandals, slides or croc style shoes.
- No oils or scents. The City of Calgary supports a scent-free environment.
- Stay hydrated. Use a non-glass water bottle.
- Bring your own mat for Mind-Body Flow, Pilates, Yoga and Stretch & Restore.
- Please silence or turn off your phones while participating in a class.
- No cell phones, photos or videos.
- Socialize before or after class, not during.
- Inform your instructor of injuries or medical conditions.
- Be courteous. Step around others’ mats and avoid your neighbor’s personal equipment.
- Stay until the end to limit disruptions to the other patrons.
- Be kind and respectful to each other and staff. This includes sharing space and using appropriate language.
- Wipe off your equipment after each use.
- Participants must be 13 years and older to participate in group fitness classes and actively participating.
- Children 12 years of age and younger are not permitted in the class area.
