Southland Leisure Centre Weight Room


Looking to improve personal strength, stability, agility, or flexibility? Preparing to compete or recovering from an injury?​​ We have a wide range of equipment and services to help you meet your goals.​​ Weight room monitors are available.

Youth age 13 - 15 must complete the Youth Weight Training course (free of charge) before they can access the room. This is required even if they only wish to use the cardio equipment. The course is free of charge.

Our 7,000-square-foot weight room is located on the second level.


Our weight and cardio room is open. No appointment required. Drop-in during regular facility hours.

The weight room has a distributed music system. It features satellite radio for various areas of the weight room. The cardio area hosts Broadcast Vision. There are four televisions attached to FM receivers. Personal stereos can be tuned to listen to the TV of your choice.
