Facility features - Southland Leisure Centre

Our facility is a multi-purpose recreation facility that offers a wide variety of activities and services and was named "Best Family Recreation Facility" as part of the 2019 Calgary's Child Magazine's Parents' Choice Awards.

  • Aqua Play structure

    Our play structure has two slides and a giant tipping bucket. Rope bridges, spray guns and splash stations round out the fun. Great for ages 0-6.

  • Arenas

    Our two arenas are open for private bookings, skating lessons, and public skating.

  • Cardio Equipment

    Improve your cardio on our extensive fitness equipment. We have treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stairmasters, rowers, cross trainers and more.​

  • Change Rooms

    We have a variety of change room facilities to accommodate your needs

  • Climbing wall

    Our climbing walls are designed for all levels with a wide range of challenges.

  • Dive Tank

    Our dive tank has a 1-meter high springboard for diving.​

  • Fitness Studio

    Our fitness studio offers a number of drop-in activities. All are lead by experienced instructors.​​

  • Gymnasium

    All ages can enjoy our full-size gymnasiums. The rubberized floors have been marked for basketball, pickleball and badminton.

  • Gymnastics

    Dedicated to fun, fitness, and learning the fundamentals of gymnastics

  • Hot Tub

    Our hot tub overlooks the wave pool. Parents can relax while keeping an eye on the kids.

  • Kiddie Pool

    ​A safe place for your little ones to enjoy the water.

  • Kinder Room

    Our play structure is perfect for little climbers, crawlers, and explorers ages 5 and under.

  • Multipurpose Rooms

    We have multipurpose rooms available. They are great for birthday parties, meetings, or group activities.​

  • Racquets Sports & Courts

    Squash, Racquetball and Wallyball courts.

  • Steam Room

    ​Relax in our unisex steam room. Comfortable lower and upper benches seat up to 20 people.​

  • Water Park and Wave Pool

    Wave pool, water slides and a dive tank for the adventurous. Younger guests will enjoy the AquaPlay structure. It's a place where the whole family can have fun together.

  • Weight Room

    We have a wide range of free weight and modern strength training equipment.
