What is Business Perspectives?

Business Perspectives is The City's research panel dedicated to the business community.  This panel seeks input and opinions from Calgary's business leaders and decision-makers.

What you can expect

  • Participate in online surveys approximately once every three months
  • Be invited to participate in focus groups; and 
  • Receive information and updates on results of the research activities conducted with the panel.

How it works

We begin by asking you to complete a membership survey that collects some information about your business.

Once you have registered you will be added to our panel database and will receive links to online surveys, newsletters, and invitations to other research activities.

Help shape Calgary's business environment

We do regular research with businesses to understand the outlook and viewpoint of the business community.

What do you do with my personal information?

Are there any other ways I can participate/engage?

Business Perspectives is a panel for leaders in the business community but there are other options.

Citizens' View is an online panel that routinely collects feedback through online surveys. Apart from this, we choose participants to complete surveys or attend in person focus groups on specific topics. We use random selection to ensure we hear from a variety of Calgarians. If you get a call or an email, please take the time to provide your honest feedback.

There are many public engagements for Calgarians to provide their thoughts and opinions on specific topics. To learn more, please visit Engage.Calgary.ca

Who gets to take part?

Any business leader based in Calgary may join the panel. Panelists include business owners, CEOs, board members, presidents, directors, and other business decision-makers.

As a member of Business Perspectives, you are not required to complete every survey. Participation in each survey is at your discretion.
