What do I need to know to prepare for the event?

With over 5,000+ youth attending each year, Youth Hiring Fair exhibitors are anticipated to speak to hundreds of youth from 1:30 to 6 p.m.

  • To accommodate for high volumes of interactions and breaks, it’s strongly recommended that each booth be well staffed throughout the entirety of the event.
  • We also recommend that employers think about their application process before attending. Ie: are you prepared to accept hundreds of resumes onsite and/or are you wanting to host onsite interviews in our first come first serve interview booth spaces?
  • It’s an important reminder that all parking onsite is paid (parking codes will not be provided) and that booth additions such as chairs and Wi-Fi must be purchased separately through BMO Centre Services.
  • Additional instructions will be provided on how to load and unload at the event if you’re approved.

All Youth Hiring Fair employer exhibitors will also be encouraged to attend February 4th’s Youth Hiring Fair virtual 1 hour preparation webinar:

  • Featuring select businesses who attend annually and Youth Hiring Fair hosts, this virtual webinar will help your team maximize your time at the event. We’ll share what you need to know to get prepared, and how your business can use the Youth Hiring Fair as a key part of your recruitment strategy year after year.
  • This webinar will not only be relevant to your hiring and event organization team, but it will also be particularly helpful for staff who will be onsite at the Youth Hiring Fair.

Both interested employers and registered employers can receive an invite to this event.

What are the lunch options?

We will confirm the 2026 menu shortly. Gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan and allergies will be accommodated and available upon request.

What are the interview spaces?

There will be additional booths with one table and two chairs onsite at the event marked “interview spaces.”

These booths are for Youth Hiring Fair employers to use on a first come first serve basis to host on the spot interviews with youth. These spaces cannot be reserved. Employers that wish to have their own interview booth space, are welcome to inquire about purchasing additional booths.

What happens if I paid and can’t make the event?

If you know you cannot make the event, and will not be attending, please notify Jason as soon as possible, as we often have a waitlist.

What employers are saying

“This Hiring Fair was a game-changer for us. The variety of talent was impressive, and it even led to unexpected networking opportunities with other businesses.”

“There were so many enthusiastic youth. Having job seekers that genuinely want a job, along with the demographics of the Fair, was perfect. It’s a great fit and approach for our company. We attend tons of hiring fairs and believe YEC does it the best.”

“The youth were prepared and managers were impressed.”

“The Hiring Fair was really good in presenting us with suitable candidates. We were able to reach people that were challenging to find.”

“The event was marketed well. Youth were prepared with resumes and candidates were interacting well with our staff. Job seekers had done some research and knew what to expect ahead of time.”

“Being able to educate youth on the scope of the services we offer was invaluable. Not many youth know the possibilities available within our department. We’re thankful for being able to spread knowledge on what we do.”
