Café Croissant is hiring full and part-time baristas for the summer.
Bringing people together through coffee, culture and community, be a part of Café Croissant's unique and charming coffee bike cart experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Previous barista or customer service experience is an asset
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (sun, wind, rain, etc.)
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
- Food Safe certificate (asset)

This Way ONward is a skills training and networking program to help youth ages 16-24 land a job with Old Navy.
With multiple employment positions available at various Old Navy locations in Calgary & CrossIron Mills, this Way ONward offers year-round job training, store tours, and opportunities to interview!

Living Library
Don’t just imagine your future—talk to someone who’s living it!
The Youth Employment Centre’s new Living Library series, funded through RBC Foundation, gives youth ages 15-24 the ability to network, connect, and learn from working professionals.
Each library will feature a variety of human, or “living books,” across a wide range of industries and careers. Guests will connect with youth in small groups (either in person or virtually) to share their experiences, answer questions, and provide advice throughout.

Pathways to Careers Networking Event

This in-person youth centred networking experience is designed to help young people build confidence, connections and momentum as they take steps toward employment. The event will bring together welcoming, friendly and encouraging employers and community organizations that specialize in supporting youth through pre-employment, training and career transition pathways.

Two Wheel View Gap Program
Two Wheel View’s Gap Program is an 8-week, paid, employability program where participants aged 18-24 who face barriers to employment learn hands-on mechanic skills while receiving mentorship and training on employment skills such as interview skills, financial literacy, workers' rights, accommodations, resume building and job searching; all while getting real work experience they can put on their resume!

Outward Bound Training Academy
Outward Bound Canada is a national charitable organization that equips youth and young people with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to navigate life, education, and work. Through hands-on, outdoor learning experiences, participants are challenged to step beyond what feels comfortable, build strong connections with others, and gain a clearer sense of their own potential.
OBC works with young people from across Canada, with a focus on reducing barriers so more youth can access these opportunities, particularly those facing financial, social, or systemic challenges. Programs are designed to support personal growth while also building transferable skills like leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
In addition to core outdoor programs, Outward Bound Canada delivers training initiatives that help young adults prepare for and enter the workforce, including pathways into the outdoor sector. These programs combine practical experience, mentorship and skill development to support meaningful employment outcomes.
Goodwill Warehouse Academy
The Goodwill Warehouse Academy is a six‑month, hands‑on employment training program designed to prepare young adults for careers in warehouse, logistics, and retail operations. The program combines classroom instruction, industry‑recognized certifications, paid work experience, and individualized coaching to help participants build practical skills and confidence in a real working warehouse environment. With a strong focus on removing barriers to employment, the Academy provides wraparound supports and personalized guidance to ensure participants are job‑ready and supported as they transition into sustainable employment.

This conversational style event will bring special guests together in one space. Ask questions, hear real career stories and learn about training, apprenticeships and career pathways in construction and trades.
Grounded in storytelling and relationship building, this session helps youth better understand the value of skilled trades, the impact of construction on Calgary’s growth and the many ways they can build a future for themselves while helping build a city.

Calgary Travel & Tourism Networking
May 22, 2026

Learn more about meaningful careers in the local travel and tourism industry. Have honest dialogue, get practical advice and build confidence. Through informal discussions with “Living Books” youth will gain lived experience insight from those working across hotels, attractions and tourism driven organizations.

Master Group Austin Roth, Master HVAC – R, National & Strategic Account Manager – Canada
Austin began his career in the plumbing and heating industry nearly 20 years ago, starting in a warehouse and building deep, hands-on knowledge of the mechanical construction trade. From warehouse operations to engineering mechanical heating systems, Austin has developed a comprehensive understanding of how buildings come to life from the inside out. Today, he works with Master Group, and HVAC/r distributor supporting national construction teams, mechanical contractors, and engineers across Canada who design and install critical building systems. Austin is proud to call Calgary home, helping work on landmark projects like Scotia Place, delivering the equipment and expertise needed to make world-class builds possible.
Jonathan Suisham, Manager, Sales Representative – Mechanical Systems
Jonathan Suisham, Sales Representative – Mechanical Systems, Southern Alberta at IPEX Inc., has spent over 13 years building deep expertise in the mechanical piping and construction industry across Western Canada. Based in Calgary AB, Jonathan works with contractors, engineers, and distributors to deliver reliable piping solutions for some of the region's most demanding municipal, industrial, commercial, and residential projects. His career in the mechanical industry spans both fire protection and thermoplastic piping systems, giving him a well-rounded perspective on how infrastructure comes together from the ground up. Beyond his professional role, Jonathan has been an active leader in the industry community, having served as President of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) Calgary Region for the past two years, and most recently transitioning into the role of CIPH Calgary Region Treasurer in April 2026.
Standard General Calgary Rob Sousa, Manager, Private Projects
Rob Sousa is a Manager of Private Projects at Standard General Calgary, where he leads commercial and private development projects from planning through execution while working closely with clients, field teams, and project partners. With a strong background in project management, Rob is passionate about sharing knowledge and helping people understand the many pathways into construction and related careers.

Tyson Loewen is a Project Coordinator at Standard General Calgary. His role focuses on supporting project managers by helping keep projects organized, compliant, and moving forward. Tyson is excited to empower others by sharing his career experiences, lessons learned, and insights with youth who are exploring what a career in construction or project management might look like.
